What’s the Best Way?

Family and Friends, it’s easy to get frustrated when our plans don’t work out. By now, we thought we’d be further along in our career, have met the right person, or wouldn’t be still dealing with a family problem.

We get discouraged because things haven’t turned out the way we planned. But God says His ways are not our ways, and His ways are higher than our ways.

As long as you’re set on your way, expecting Him to work things out the way you want, you’re not going to stay in peace, because it’s not His plan. His plan is better, more rewarding, and more fulfilling.

But here’s the key: You’re not always going to understand His plan. It may not make sense in the moment. There may be twists, turns, detours, and times when you feel like you’re going the wrong way. This is when you have to surrender what you had in mind and trust His plan.

Hold tightly to your desires and dreams, but hold loosely to how it’s going to happen. Know that His way is always the best way.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You see the big picture for my life and make all things serve me for my good. Thank You for the assurance in my heart that Your ways are always better than my ways. I declare that I am going to stay in peace and trust that You are working out Your plan for my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
